Now in its 35th year, this industry-endorsed competition provided an opportunity for bakers, pastrycooks, chefs, butchers, apprentices, and more to compete for the sought-after titles of Australia’s Official Greatest Meat Pie, Australia’s Official Greatest Gourmet Pie, Australia’s Official Greatest Plain Sausage Roll, Australia’s Official Greatest Gourmet Sausage Roll, and Australia’s Official Greatest Pastie, along with a range of gold, silver, and bronze medals. Run annually by the Aussie Pie Council, the competition is well known throughout the country for generating excellent publicity and promoting award-winning pies and sausage rolls, resulting in increased profits for the winning businesses.

The Official Great Aussie Pie Competition has built pride among bakers, chefs, and butchers while establishing passion for the art of pie-making and setting an industry benchmark for excellence.
