NSW Government Offers Taste of Success

Apr 27, 2021

Local cuisine will take centre stage at the region’s biggest food and beverage show thanks to a NSW Government package helping local manufacturers showcase their world-class produce.

Expressions of Interest are open for emerging NSW food and beverage producers and technology manufacturers to join the Flavours of NSW zone within Fine Food Australia 2021, taking place this year at ICC Sydney from 6-9 September.

Investment NSW CEO Amy Brown said Fine Food Australia was the leading trade event for the food and beverage industry in the Southern Hemisphere.

“Fine Food will attract thousands of businesses and industry professionals from Australasia and beyond, showcasing everything from speciality foods to hospitality and retail technology,” Ms Brown said.

“After the impact of bushfires, floods and a pandemic, it is more important than ever for Government to support producers by connecting them to opportunities to rebuild and re-energise.”

The NSW Government will support up to 12 emerging NSW food and beverage producers and technology manufacturers, providing $4,000 each to exhibit in the Flavours of NSW zone.

Braidwood gourmet ingredients firm Garlicious Grown participated in the program in 2019, an experience co-founder Cathy Owen said was important to its subsequent growth.

“Attendance at the 2019 Fine Food Australia trade show gave our business great exposure to both international and domestic markets.

“It also initiated a collaboration between a fellow producer, which has led to a major product of our range, so the show was well worth being a part of,” Ms Owen said.

Expressions of interest close on 7 May 2021.
