A Live Showcase of Australia's Best Gelato Makers

The Australian Gelato Cup (AGC) is a national competition bringing together gelato makers from across Australia to showcase their unique flavour recipes and technical skill. Competitors represent their business on a national stage and are judged across three awards:
  1. Australian Gelato Cup Champion
  2. Critics Award
  3. People’s Choice
 

Competition Highlights & Category Winners

First Place: May Quah & Apple Robles – Oh My Gelato (VIC)

Winning Flavour: The Melbourne Marvel – Australian pistachio, espresso variegato, and dark chocolate-coated honeycomb.

People’s Choice Award: Paola Guarin Sanchez (Merry Pops, NSW)

Winning Flavour: El Amor de Mi Visa – Macadamia gelato, dulce de leche, Colombian mango, and macadamia crunch.

Critic’s Choice Award: Andrea Calabrese (La Viennese, SA)

Winning Flavour: Scent of Home – Savoury-inspired avocado and Tahitian lime gelato with an extra virgin olive oil ripple.

What To Expect

The live finals will be held at Fine Food Australia, MCEC (Melbourne) from August 31st – September 3rd, bringing together the best gelato talent in the country. The winner of the Australian Gelato Cup Champion will go on to represent Australia internationally at the Sherbeth Festival in Italy.
