Thailand’s Department of International Trade Promotion, Ministry of Commerce, has therefor initiated the Thai SELECT logo to certify and promote authentic Thai cuisines, both Thai restaurants and ready-to-eat processed Thai food around the worlds, as well as to encourage Thai restaurateurs and food producers to maintain their high standard.

The Benefits of Thai SELECT

• Digital advertising: To facilitate Thai cuisine lovers in overseas to quickly locate and access to authentic Thai food restaurants from ‘Thai SELECT Application’ and online food ordering and delivery platforms.
• Invitation to join Thai SELECT events: To enhance the cooking skill and connect to Thai SELECT network around the world.

The Department of International Trade Promotion, Ministry of Commerce, Thailand, has awarded Thai SELECT to Thai restaurants located overseas, which can be separated into three categories, assessed by type of restaurant, decoration, and level of food and service excellence, as follows:

1. Thai SELECT Signature: Granted to restaurants in Thailand and overseas serving authentic Thai food with a taste of premium quality, refined decoration, excellent services and outstanding Thai culinary image.
2. Thai SELECT Classic: Granted to restaurants in Thailand and overseas serving Thai food with standard taste, excellent quality and considerably good services.
3. Thai SELECT Casual: Granted to restaurants in overseas offering Thai food with authentic Thai taste, small size and limited services such as fast food restaurants, food outlets at food courts, food trucks and food stalls
