Sydney’s Biggest Stage for Foodservice & Hospitality: Fine Food Australia 2025 Recap

Fine Food Australia 2025 has officially wrapped after its return to the harbour city this year – and what a show it was. Taking over the entirety of the ICC’s two levels of show halls, the 2025 edition of Fine Food Australia was a feast for all of the senses, bringing together the best of the country’s food industry as well as a host of international exhibitors, speakers, and products.

More than 21,000 visitors descended upon the event, and once they were through the doors, had the opportunity to engage with 926 exhibitors who represented almost every facet of the food industry. The show floor was packed across the four days, and in addition to the business, networking, and conversations that took place, visitors had the opportunity to witness the best of industry via the 115 speakers who hosted 70 presentations across 4 stages, and 60 competitors who duked it out during 4 major competitions. To make it easier for people to make the most of the show, this year we launched the new Fine Food Australia App, a planner-style app that gave visitors the power to schedule meetings, navigate the show, and tailor their experience based on their interests. Within this, the Smart Networking Tools enabled users to request 1:1 meetings between buyers and suppliers, designed to make it easy for people to forge meaningful business connections, which is our whole reason for being!

There were multiple other firsts and great industry happenings to keep people coming back over the four days including the brand-new Hospitality Hub, a dedicated networking space where exhibitors and attendees could step away from the show floor and dive into real business conversations. Other conversations took place on stage, with some of Sydney’s biggest names in hospitality sharing insights and opinions into a diverse range of topics. The impressive lineup of talent included  Dan Hong, best known as the Executive Chef at Merivale venues Mr Wong, Ms G’s, Sushi-E at The Establishment, Queen Chow Enmore and MuMu at Ivy, recent MasterChef favourite Patissier Chef Miko Aspiras,  Owner & Director of CATALINA Restaurant Judy McMahon, Owner & Marketing Director of Hurricane’s Grill, Laura Goldberg; Owner of Pilu at Freshwater, Marilyn Annecchini;   Founder & Director of love.fish Barangaroo, Michelle Grand-Milkovic; and Tara Senam, Founder & Director or Meraki Group. In addition, talent from around the country such as Master Patissier Paul Kennedy, and World Pastry Champion Wei Loon Tan were on site to discuss what’s new and what’s next.

A host of competitions and demonstrations also added to the excitement, and returning with a bold new look and program for 2025, the Culinary Kitchen and The Artisanal Bakehouse sponsored by Creative Ingredients showcased live cooking, baking, and trend-led presentations from leading chefs and artisans. Beyond demonstrations, the Sydney crowd also got an insight into the skill of a range of competitors, and the judges as well, across some of the most hotly contested titles in the industry including Bake Skills Australia which once again delivered a showcase of precision, artistry and rising talent; the Australian Culinary Federation’s ACF Culinary Challenge which brought together professional chefs, apprentices, and trainees in a thrilling series of live cook-offs, the Nestle Golden Chef’s Hat competition, and arguably the show’s most popular contest, the Official Great Aussie Pie Competition.

Across every competition, every presentation, and every conversation, the breadth of amazing talent, products, and innovations at this year’s event is a true reflection of the excellence and pride that define Australia’s food culture, and the supporting role that Fine Food Australia plays in spotlighting the best of the nation’s industry.

Fine Food Australia took place in Sydney between 8 – 11 September 2025 and will return to the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre next year, from 31 August – 3 September 2026.
