Boks Bacon is a three-generation Dutch family business, founded by Johannes Boks in Cygnet, Tasmania in the 1950s. Johannes learned the traditional methods in Holland in 1929, his teacher learnt it in the 1890s. Now run by Marcus and Rick Boks in Hobart, they produce unique, free-range, dry cured, nitrate/sugar free bacon cold smoked using Tasmanian Oak.
