Rod Fowler is the Director of Food Industry Foresight, where he provides market data and insights across the foodservice industry. As a Food Industry Futurist, he brings a wealth of experience from an international career in technology development and application.

Rod’s career spans a diverse range of sectors, including international banking, border control systems for various governments, plant manufacturing automation for major print groups in Europe, and e-commerce in both the private and public sectors. More recently, he has focused on consulting in technology and innovation within the hospitality sector.

Rod began his career in the early 1980s at an IBM Software Laboratory in Sweden, long before the advent of personal computers, the internet, or mobile phones. His extensive experience includes being at the forefront of several major waves of technological innovation throughout his career.
