Julio Azzarello is a seasoned chef and industry leader with over 40 years’ experience in the hospitality sector. His career spans executive roles in multi-outlet hotels and restaurants, international culinary appointments, and the successful ownership of a food manufacturing and catering facility. Since 2014, Julio has served as the Sales and Marketing Director at Gourmand Providore, where his focus lies in product innovation, regular market insights, and direct client engagement to support seasonal menu development and strategic planning.
In addition to his role at Gourmand Providore, Julio is the NSW, ACT and Regions Director of the Australian Culinary Federation. A nationally accredited culinary judge, he is actively involved in industry development through judging and mentoring across key platforms including Restaurant & Caterers (R&C), Nestlé Professional, Clubs NSW and the Australian Hoteliers Association (AHA).
Julio’s commitment to education and excellence includes over three years of lecturing at Le Cordon Bleu Sydney. His passion for knowledge continues to drive his search for new products and operational efficiencies without compromise to flavour, consistency or presentation. Fluent in five languages, Julio brings a global perspective and deep industry insight to everything he does, supporting chefs, apprentices, managers and owners alike with expertise and authenticity.
