Steve is a highly experienced retail and food services specialist with over 28 years of hospitality management, project management and consulting experience.
He has been very involved in workforce reform in the Hospitality Industry and has in-depth knowledge and expertise in business and workforce planning and management.
Steve’s experience includes significant operational and management experience having owned his own catering business for more than 28 years and being recognised through industry bodies both state and nationally for being amongst the best in the Hospitality, Club, Restaurant and Catering Awards.
The breadth and depth of Steve’s skills and experience base is unparalleled: project management, human resource management, industrial relations, staff training, budget establishment, concept development, performance measurement, quality control and new product launches. His dynamic leadership stresses pro-activism, results, and a constant demand that the standards for perfection move higher.
Steve’s passion and his mission is to improve and support the hospitality industry in Australia and to ensure that the industry is seen as a career of choice across the nation. Steve creates exceptional and effortless dining experiences for his loyal clientele, whilst managing his dining rooms with precision, enthusiasm and a smile.
Combined across Steve’s group, he manages 13 Venues across Sydney, Lower Blue Mountains and Central Coast, 26 dining concepts (including Western & Asian), 40 event spaced and employs over 350 people.
Steve’s venues across Sydney have recently achieved Awards in the Restaurant and Catering Awards for Excellence. Steve has also expanded into Catering HQ Logistics and Good & Plenty Wholefoods which was founded in 2020 with the vision of creating Australia’s Leading Specialty Food Company with strong brand ownership and being able to provide venues with the finest gourmet products at an affordable price.
In 2024, Catering HQ launched Network: Hospo In A Box, offering franchise opportunities to motivated and entrepreneurial individuals with food service experience who want to run their own restaurant or café.
The most recent project that Steve has heavily invested and acquired is a cloud-based Hospitality software called Hospitality Genie. This software is much more than a menu costing and food ordering system. Genie is intelligent, user-friendly IT solution that will help you deliver greater profits, efficiencies, control and compliance standards to your business.
