The Nestlé Golden Chef’s Hat: Australia’s Longest-Running Culinary Competition
The Nestlé Golden Chef’s Hat is dedicated to helping junior and apprentice chefs develop their cooking skills and broaden their culinary horizons by offering a unique opportunity to showcase their abilities in live cook-offs judged to globally recognized standards. As the longest-running culinary competition in Australia, it gave young chefs the chance to truly discover where they stood in the industry. By pitting themselves against their peers and benchmarking their cooking skills, participants in the Nestlé Golden Chef’s Hat Award also had the opportunity to be mentored by culinary instructors and gain access to a national network of professional chefs.
The Nestlé Golden Chef’s Hat competition runs across Australia and New Zealand throughout the year, with the Grand Final Cook-offs held at Fine Food Australia in September. Junior and apprentice chefs showcased their talents in front of the Fine Food audience.
