If your work connects you to the food industry in a commercial or professional capacity, whether you’re buying, sourcing, supplying or supporting it, you’re likely eligible.
We introduced pre-qualification to ensure Fine Food Australia remains a curated space for genuine trade professionals. It maintains the quality of the event for both visitors and exhibitors, and means your time on the floor is spent with the right people.
For Australian-based registrants, an ABN is our primary way of verifying your trade involvement. If you’re employed by or operate a business connected to the food industry, your company ABN is all you need.
Not sure what your ABN is? You can look it up at abr.business.gov.au.
Yes. If you’re a franchise owner or multi-site operator registered under a parent company ABN, that’s absolutely fine. Enter the ABN for the entity you operate under, and if our team needs any clarification, they’ll reach out. You can also include a note in your application explaining the structure.
Yes. If your ABN is newly registered, simply provide whatever supporting documentation you have alongside it: signed lease, supplier correspondence, or anything that shows you’re actively setting up or operating in the industry. Our team reviews new business applications on a case-by-case basis and will get back to you promptly.
International visitors are not required to provide an ABN. If you’re a trade professional working in foodservice, hospitality, or a related sector outside Australia, you’re welcome to attend. Simply indicate your industry involvement during the pre-qualification form.

This could be a former business registration, LinkedIn profile showing your career history, an old invoice or any other evidence of your time in the trade. Our team will review and be in touch.
