Fine Food Australia is welcoming a brand new addition to the Melbourne show – the Start-Up Zone. This new zone is dedicated to start-ups breaking into the foodservice and hospitality industry – with the likes of Melbourne Soda Co, Templogger, Greenwhisk, Coco Tribe and Oliver Lane Foods.

Fine Food is proud to bring this to the show, allowing for brand new companies to the industry to gain the insight, interest and opportunities from bigger businesses. Here are some of the highlights that you’ll be able to see in this new zone:

Melbourne Soda Co
Stand L46

Melbourne Soda Co produce 100% organic sodas – all natural and with no ‘nasties’. Born and raised in Melbourne and with the tagline, “We’re as Melbourne as the MCG”, this company is one to watch out for. Their range includes cola, lemonade, ginger soda, lemon lime and bitters and sparkling mineral waters sourced from Hepburn Springs. Check them out!

Stand M45

Templogger solves the daily burden of checking and recording your cold storage units. The devices connected to our cloud will record temperatures on a daily basis, giving your business a ‘cool’ peace of mind. Temperatures are logged at set intervals, giving you accurate data from anywhere in the world. The most exciting feature of Templogger is the Alert system. When your fridge is being monitored 24 hours a day, you know your stock is safe. The app can send you a push notification with an alarm and email to alert you that action needs to be taken when a fridge is in the ‘danger zone’.

Originated in Italy and also known as biscotti, our Almond Bread is a thinly sliced biscuit that will guarantee you wanting more. Twice baked to crisp perfection makes dipping it into your favourite drink a treat. All products are made using fresh ingredients and sourced locally where possible. We don’t add preservatives, hard to pronounce ingredients or hidden nasties that are listed as a series of numbers. If you can find it in your pantry, it’s there.

Oliver Lane
Stand N47

We love making interesting and delicious loaves that everyone can enjoy, because we believe that dietary requirements shouldn’t compromise on flavour. Our goal has always been to make fruit & savoury loaves that everyone at the table wants; we’re not just the gluten-free option. Handmade in Melbourne, our range includes vegan, free-from and fructose-friendly flavours. We use local suppliers and ingredients as much as possible and enjoy building relationships across Victoria’s café and retail community. Oliver Lane is our food journey, where a simple slice of toast becomes a nutritious, delicious meal.

Coco Tribe

Coco Tribe hand makes small batch deliciously thick and creamy, organic coconut yoghurt and ice cream. All vegan, 100% dairy, gluten and refined sugar free. Based in Marrickville, the tribe is family owned and operated, and has a long history of creating specialty treats for the local community and Sydney’s leading chefs and restaurants. Searching for a lactose-free alternative to dairy-based ice cream, they embarked on an endeavour to create a recipe that kept the taste and texture of their traditional favourites – without any added nasties. Requests soon poured in for a cultured coconut yoghurt and Coco Tribe was born! The Tribe now offer 4 ice cream flavours and 2 yoghurt flavours, gently sweetened with rice malt syrup and made from the finest coconut cream and plant-based ingredients.
