For the first time in Melbourne, Fine Food Australia is opening up the floor to hear from aspiring businesses and start-ups. The prize up for grabs is a money-can’t-buy opportunity awarded by Food Innovation Australia Ltd (FIAL), and all it takes to win it is to pitch your idea to Fine Food Australia’s line up of industry-leading, expert Lions. Our panel of Lions make a formidable pack – with combined experience that covers all facets of the food industry, they’ve got the market understanding, strategic foresight and business savvy to know what works. Receive invaluable feedback and media coverage that could turn your future business idea into reality.
How to apply
Via email, submit your business name, your concept and a short paragraph explaining why you deserve a spot to pitch to the Lions.
Submissions to be sent to: firstname.lastname@example.org
Deadline for submissions: Friday 3rd August
Those selected to pitch their idea to the Lions will then need to provide their presentations by Wednesday 15th August. Once selected, more information will be provided.
When & Where
The Lion’s Den will take place at the Talking Food Stage at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre in Melbourne on Tuesday 11 September at 2pm. If you don’t get the chance to enter or present your idea, you can still come and watch the thrill of the pitches unfold, and hear the feedback from the Lions themselves.
Meet the Lions
There will be a panel of five Lions, who, with their market understanding, strategic foresight and business savvy, will provide feedback to the pitches and select the winner of the inaugural Lion’s Den.
