Australian Selections Finale – The World Trophy of Pastry, Gelato and Chocolate

   

Calling all pastry chefs. Euroquip has announced that the selections finale to represent Australian in the World Trophy of Pastry, Gelato and Chocolate 2019 in Italy, will be held at Fine Food Australia, Melbourne 2018.

The World Trophy of Pastry, Gelato and Chocolate, organised by the Federazione Italiana di Pasticceria Gelateria e Cioccolateria, or International Federation of Pastry, Gelato, and Chocolate (FIPGC), is considered to be the most important event in the international pastry industry, bringing 16 countries together to compete for the title of World Pastry Champion– and this year the selections to represent Australia will be held for the first time at Fine Food Australia. The three winners of the Australian competition will go on to compete in Milan at the World Trophy of Pastry, Gelato and Chocolate FIPGC in October 2019. Each pastry chef is required to create sophisticated pastry artworks and dessert in three main categories: chocolate sculpture and pralines; sugar sculpture and modern cake; and pastillage sculpture and gelato.

The choice of the winners will belong to some famous international judges; The celebrity pastry chef and TV star Adriano Zumbo; Luigi Stivaletta, International judge from the APA (Australian, Pastry Academy) and TAFE; Barbara Castiglione, winner of a countless number of gold and silver medals from many international pastry contests, 7 year member of FIPGC Excellence Team, and coach at the ICIF Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners.
