Paul ‘Dougie’ Douglas

Dougie has over 27 years of hospitality experience starting back in the UK where he trained at five-star hotels and Michelin-starred restaurants in London before migrating to Australia in 2004. In 2011 Dougie and his wife, Belinda Smullen, opened The General Food Store, a 35-seat cafe in Emerald. In 2017 they opened their second and third venues, Incy Wincy and Bam Bam Italian. The Grub Club company employs over 60 people and has a strong culture around putting people first. Both Dougie and Belinda enjoy growing as business owners and expanding their knowledge to ensure they are setting the company up for success.
