Apr 8, 2014

The NSW Minister for Primary Industries and Small Business, Katrina Hodgkinson will officially launch the Southern Harvest Association and its ‘Regional Food System’ tomorrow at Fine Food Australia.

Located in southern NSW, the Southern NSW Harvest’s footprint spans 14 local government areas stretching from Bowral in east to Temora in the west and south to Tumbarumba, incorporating the Southern Highlands, Southern Tablelands, Palerang, Hilltops and Riverina areas.

The Association is mandated with supporting and growing vibrant and resilient rural communities, through providing leadership, ideas and opportunities for producers and related businesses.

The background work to the establishment of the Association commenced two years ago, and was assisted with the securing of a grant from Destination NSW’s Product Development Fund in 2011 for the delivery of a ‘regional food system’ for the region.

The Honourable Katrina Hodgkinson, MP will officially launch the Southern NSW Harvest Association tomorrow at 10.45 on the Flavours of NSW stand, located in Hall 1.
